To push its mid-range Lumia 540 Windows phone, Microsoft has announced buyback and cashback offers on Lumia 540. Under buyback scheme, one can exchange its old phone and buy a new Lumia 540 for Rs. 7,199 against MRP of Rs. 10,199.
Besides exchange offer, the company is also giving cashback in partnership with Jabong and Mobikwik. On purchase of Lumia 540, the buyers will get discounts worth 3,000 on shopping via Jabong app and Rs. 3,600 in their Mobikwik wallet. The last offer can be redeemed over a period of one year @Rs. 300 per month.
Lumia 540 with Dual SIM capability was launched in India in the month of May at Rs. 10,199. Currrently, it is available at Rs. 8,800 onwards at Flipkart without the exchange offer.
The Lumia 540 running on Windows 8.1, comes with mediocre features. It spors a 5-inch HD display(1280 x 720 pixels, 294 PPI), and is driven by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, coupled with 1 GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which is expandable to 128GB via microSD card. Moreover, it comes with 30GB of free cloud storage with built-in OneDrive.
