Motorola has launched yet another powerful smartphone Droid Turbo 2 with very high-end and innovative features. The USP of Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is its shatterproof display, 21MP rear camera and massive 3760mAh battery.
Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is the successor to the last year’s Droid Turbo. The Droid Turbo 2 features a 5.4-inch QHD (1440×2560) display. The highlight of this display is that it is shatterproof display, which is the world’s first phone screen guaranteed not to crack or shatter. This is an exclusive Moto ShatterShield display technology consisting of five layers designed from materials that absorb shock from impact and are guaranteed not to shatter. So, you need not worrry if this phone falls accidentally from your grip.
The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 oct-core processor combined with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and comes in 32GB and 64GB internal storage variants which can be further extended upto 2TB via a microSD card slot.
The other highlight of this phone is its massive 3760mAh battery, which is claimed to have life of 48 hours with mixed use, and comes with TurboPower charging with which, you can get up to 13 hours of power in just 15 minutes.
On the optics front also, Motorola has equipped this phone with very powerful rear camera. It comes with a 21-megapixel rear-camera with f/2.0 aperture, Dual LED flash and Phase Detect Auto-Focus. This phone also houses a 5-megapixel front snapper with flash.
Surprisingly, the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 runs on Android 5.1.1 and not on the latest Marshmallow OS. This is a single SIM phone and offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and other standard options.
The other important announcement made by Motorola is that the new Droid Turbo can be customised in more than 1,000 designs under their Moto Maker programme in US. The customers can choose from their choice of new material options like soft grip, ballistic nylon or genuine Horween pebbled leather.
The Droid Turbo 2 will be available in US from 29th October and its price for 32GB variant is $624 and 64GB variant will come for $720 without the contracts. Motorola has not revealed when this device will be launched in global markets.
