LG has announced today that it is beginning roll-out of its LG Zero smartphone in Taiwan followed by other countries in Asia, Europe and Latin America. LG Zero was launched in domestic market of Korea in the month of September. This phone will be available in Silver and Gold color variants.
The USP of LG Zero is its full metal body and incorporation of premium features of LG G series of smartphones such as camera technology and UX features.
The LG Zero is packed with solid aluminum body to give it premium feel and look. Its smooth metal body is enhanced by the “Arc Glass” design of the edges which create a slimmer profile.
From the hardware perspective, this phone features a 5 inch-inch HD In-cell Touch display (1280 x 720 pixels resolution, 294ppi). It is driven by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Processor paired with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage with microSD card support.
According to LG, ”LG Zero offers best-in-class camera features adopted from the highly acclaimed G4, resulting in maximum photo resolution, shutter speed and sharpness. The 8MP front camera allows for brighter and clearer selfies while the 13MP rear camera delivers many of the same attributes of a standalone camera. Fans of popular G Series features such as Gesture Shot, Gesture View and Gesture Interval Shot will be delighted to find these options in the LG Zero as well”.
This phone runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 OS and is packed with 2050mAh battery. It offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g, n, Bluetooth 4.1 and USB 2.0.
LG has not disclosed the price of LG Zero, which as usual will be revealed close on the heels of its availability in the respective markets.
LG Zero will be known as LG Class in Germany, Korea, Russia and Singapore.
