At an event in New Delhi, Smartron, two year old Indian start-up has launched today t.book 2-in-1 computing device with high-end features at Rs. 39,999. Sachin Tendulkar, legendary cricketer is shareholder and brand ambassador of Smartron. The Smartron t.book will be available in Grey and Orange colors and will be exclusively sold on Gadgets360.com starting April 8.
The Smartron t.book has a flip-stand and keyboard and which can be easily turned into a laptop. This device has an aluminium and magnesium body and is packed with powerful battery which can stay alive for 10 hours with single charge.
From the hardware perspective, the Smartron t.book 2-in-1 Ultrabook sports a 12.2-inch WQXGA (2560×1600 pixels) IPS display with a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic layer. This device is driven by an Intel Core M processor with 4MB of cache and is paired with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 128GB SSD. This ultrabook is equipped with a 5 MP rear camera and also houses a 2MP front camera for Skype usage.
The t.book 2 comes with Hubtron with which customer can access all his or her profile, data like documents, content like pictures and music, services like professional and payment, care, community as well as can manage all other IoT devices.Hubtron will be active across all Smartron devices. Apart from this, the t.cloud feature will enable Smartron users with free unlimited storage and the data can be accessed across all devices using Hubtron. The Smartron customer service, which is known as t.care, will offer online and offline support. The offline support will be present across 100 cities and with doorstep services making it hassle free.
Smartron also announced at the launche event that they will be bringing t.phone, which is world’s lightest 5.5” smartphone in the third week of April.

On the product line up, he further said, “we have an exciting line up of products for 2016, beyond smartphone and ultrabook segments across mobile, home, auto, enterprise and infrastructure markets. Our aim is to make customer’s life simpler, smarter, and safer using Smartron products”.
Smartron started its operations in Hyderabad and Bengaluru in August 2014. The company has so far invested over $10 Million to support the R&D activities and plans to spend $ 100 million over the next couple of years to establish Smartron as a global brand.
