Micromax has expanded its Canvas Unite Series and launched today Unite 4 Plus smratphone in India. This phone has full metal body and is available in Gold, Grey and Silver colors at a price of Rs. 7,999.
Like Unite 4 and Unite 4pro, Micromax Unite 4 Plus comes with a refreshed Indus OS 2.0 which supports 12 regional languages, including the newly added Urdu and Assamese. Indus OS 2.0 is world’s first regional OS and 2nd most popular OS in India. Besides supporting regional languages, this OS has App Bazaar, Indus-to-Indus free messaging services, Indus Swipe feature, text to speech technology and more. The Indus OS 2.0 is based on Android Marshmallow OS.
On the hardware front, the Micromax Unite 4 Plus features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It is packed with 1GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor with Mali-T720 GPU combined with 2GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB of internal memory which is expandable upto 64GB via microSD card. This phone is equipped with 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and also houses a 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash. It is packed with 2500mAh battery.
This is Dual SIM phone and also incorporates Fingerprint sensor. It offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The Indus Keyboard of the Unite 4 Plus has a hybrid keyboard feature, which allows users to type in a mix of English and regional languages. It also has patented word predictions, matra predictions and auto-correction features offering a user-friendly smartphone experience. The OS is also equipped with an inbuilt runtime transliteration feature that runs even without any internet connectivity. The App Bazaar on Indus OS allows users to download and pay for apps without email IDs and credit cards which is of great relief to those buyers who do not have e-mail IDs and credit cards.
Micromax is offering 7 day service or replacement warranty for its smartphones in the Unite 4 series. According to Micromax, the Unite series is the most successful range crossing over 2.5 million units in sales till date.
