As expected, OnePlus has launched their flagship smartphone, OnePlus 7 Pro at an event in Bengaluru. This phone has USP of QuadHD+ Fluid AMOLED Display, Snapdragon 855 chipset, Pop-up selfie camera, triple rear cameras to name a few.
OnePlus 7 Pro sports a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with Quad HD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels resolution, 516 pixels per inch) with 90Hz refresh rate with an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. The display has support for HDR10 content. The display has no notch and is curved from all angles to give an immersive watching experience. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. This is powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 640 GPU. This phone comes with 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB (UFS 3.0) storage for faster document loading, image saving from the camera and app launch times. This phone is packed with a 4000mAh battery with Warp Charge 30 (30W) fast charging which is claimed to charge 40 percent in 20 minutes.
This phone is armed with triple rear cameras comprising of 48MP with Dual LED Flash, 7P lens, f/1.6 aperture, 1/2.25inch Sony IMX586 sensor with features of OIS, EIS, secondary 8MP Telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture with features of OIS, 3x zoom and third camera of 16MP with f/2.2 aperture and 117 degree field of view.
For selfies, this phone has with Pop-up selfie camera of 16MP with Sony IMX471 sensor. This camera pops up from the top when you click the icon for selfies and the company claims that even if you use it for 50 times a day, this pop-up camera will have life of more than 16 years. It is another matter that no body uses the phone for 16 years!
For security, this phone has in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature. This is Dual SIM supporting phone and is shipped with Android 9.0 Pie with layer of latest OxygenOS. For connectivity, this phone offers connectivity options of Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C. This is little bit heavy phone having weight of 206gms. This phone comes with Dual Stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos.
OnePlus 7 Pro comes in three colors of Nebula Blue, Mirror Gray and Almond. It is priced Rs. 48,999 for the 6GB RAM +128GB storage version, Rs. 52,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version and Rs. 57,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version. The 6+128 GB, 8+256 GB variants in Mirror Gray will be available from 17th May from Amazon.in, oneplus.in, all OnePlus exclusive offline stores, all Reliance Digital outlets, MyJio stores and Croma outlets. The 8+ 256 GB, 12 + 256GB in Nebula Blue will be available from 28th May and 8+ 256 GB variant in Almond will be available in the month of June.
