India pricing of OnePlus 8 series smartphones which were launched online last week has been announced. OnePlus 8 price starts at Rs. 41,999 and OnePlus 8 Pro price starts at Rs. 54,999. These prices are quite attractive if you compare them with Dollar prices. For instance, OnePlus 8 was announced at USD 699 and if you convert it to INR at today’s rate of exchange then it works out to Rs. 53,473 (699×78.57= 53,473). Since India is very price sensitive market therefore OnePlus has kept prices very low here. Details of prices:

These phones are expected to go on sale in India in the month of May via Amazon and other channels if the lockdown is lifted on 3rd May. OnePlus 8 with 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM would be sold exclusviely by Amazon.in.

Both the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are powered by the latest 2.84GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 865 processor with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G Modem-RF System and Adreno 650 GPU. The OnePlus 8 comes with 6GB/8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM while 8 Pro has 8GB/128GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.
The OnePlus 8 and 8Pro are packed with 4300mAh/4510mAh battery, respectively with Warp Charge 30T Fast Charging and wireless charging on 8 Pro. The 4510mAh battery is claimed to charge 50% in just 30 minutes and Warp Charge 30T fast-charging solution, can also charge the battery to 50% in just 23 minutes.
These phones support Dual Nano SIMs and run on polished OxygenOS 10.0 based on Android 10 with added features of Dark Theme 2.0 and new dynamic wallpapers which subtly shift color tones based on current outdoor temperature conditions.
Both the phones have in-display fingerprint sensor and are Water resistant (IP68). Both the phones incorporate Dual Stereo Speakers with Dolby Atmos. Both the phones offer also offer connectivity options of Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax 2X2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS+ GLONASS and USB Type-C.
In the camera department, OnePlus 8 Pro is armed with quad-camera set-up in the rear comprising of 48MP with Sony IMX689 sensor with OIS+EIS, 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with 120° ultra-wide lens, 8MP telephoto sensor and 5MP depth sensor. On the contrary, the OnePlus 8 is equipped with triple rear camera consisting of 48MP with IMX586 sensor, 16MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP depth camera. Both the phones have 16MP front camera with Sony IMX471 sensor.
