As expected, iQOO announced today the iQOO 5 series of flagship phones in China. The two phones unveiled today are the iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro. These phones are powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC with Snapdragon X55 5G modem and are combined with Adreno 650 GPU. Both the phones have 6.56 inch (2376×1080 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED display with 19.8:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+ support and 120Hz refresh rate. The display of the iQOO 5 is flat whereas the iQOO 5 Pro screen has 3D curved edges. These phones have punch hole screens with 16MP selfie cameras and are equipped with in-display fingerprint readers and facial recognition. These phones come with options of 6GB / 8GB / 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with choice of 128GB / 256GB (UFS 3.1) storage.
The iQOO 5 is packed with a 4,500mAh battery with 55W fast charging for charging full battery in 55 minutes whereas the iQOO 5 Pro houses a 4,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging which is claimed to fill the battery from zero to full in just 15 minutes.
On the imaging front, the iQOO 5 is armed with triple rear camera set-up comprising of 50MP main camera with Samsung GN1 sensor, f/1.85 aperture, LED flash with features of EIS and capability of 20x digital zoom, 13MP 120° ultra-wide sensor, 13MP portrait camera with f/2.46 aperture and 2x zoom. On the other hand, the iQOO 5 Pro also has 50MP primary camera with Samsung GN1 sensor, f/1.85 aperture, LED flash plus features of OIS + EIS, 13MP 120° ultra-wide sensor, 8MP periscope camera, OIS, 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom. Both the phones have 16MP front camera with with f/2.45 aperture for selfies.
Both the phones run on iQOO UI 5.0 based Android 10 OS and offer connectivity options of Dual SIM support, 5G,Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS and USB-C. These phones also have features of stereo speakers with built-in audio chip and Hi-Res audio support.
The iQOO 5 series will be available in Blue and Grey colours and are priced as follows:

Roughly, the iQOO5 price starts at approximately INR 43K and iQOO5 Pro at INR 54K. These phones will go on sale in China from 24th August and there is no word when they will be launched in India.
