realme has announced today that the realme 12+ 5G is set to launch on March 6, 2024, 12 Noon in India. The realme 12+ 5G comes with impressive features for photography and features the 50MP Sony LYT600 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) – the first in the segment in mid-range category. This camera claims to delive an impressive 18% enhancement in color reproduction compared to previous generations. With 2X In-sensor Zoom, the primary camera ensures clearer images without compromising quality while offering enhanced shooting flexibility for capturing subjects at varying distances with precision as stated by Realme.
realme 12+ 5G also features the all-new Snap Portrait System, the first custom dynamic portrait capture system introduced in a smartphone. The camera’s quick launch function enables users to go from not shooting to capturing their next shot within 0.8s. Its optimized capture speed achieves high-speed continuous shooting of up to 208 pictures per minute.
The portrait master capabilities of realme 12+ 5G do not end there, as the phone boasts realme’s Cinematic Bokeh Algorithm, which can replicate the DSLR effect on a smartphone camera. With easy aperture adjustments that can be previewed before each shot, users have complete control of the aperture and blur effect of their final portraits. To top the imaging capabilities of realme 12+ 5G off, the company has collaborated with Oscar-winning cinematographer Claudio Miranda to create three image enhancement filters inspired by his award-winning films.
On the design front, realme has revolutionized smartphone design by incorporating elements traditionally found in the world of luxury watches. Drawing inspiration from the dial, bezels, and straps of luxury watches, realme 12+ 5G includes a polished sunburst dial with more than 500 gradient patterns, creating a play between light and shadow.
Premium vegan leather elevates the design of the realme 12+ 5G, distinguishing it as the only phone in its segment to feature high-end, durable vegan leather. This lightweight material is luxurious to the touch and adds to the user’s comfort during prolonged phone usage. This phone also comes with IP54 dust and water resistance.
For the first time in the segment, realme 12+ 5G introduces the Rainwater Smart Touch, a technology that provides users greater comfort and accuracy during usage. The device scans the screen data to determine whether water or a hand is touching the screen. When water is detected, a series of algorithms blocks unexpected touch actions. In cases where water and touch co-occur, the algorithm reduces the water effect, improving the touch input accuracy.
