Acer has introduced its latest 3G enabled ICONIA W4 tablet on Facebook. This tablet is being launched in India ahead of other countries, following the huge response received by its Wi-Fi version, which was launched in India in December.
This is the first-of-its-kind initiative by the company to launch the tablet on Facebook. This mode of launch has emanated from the fact that Acer’s Facebook page recorded a million fans. To celebrate this accomplishment and reward the company’s loyal fan base, the company has also introduced a pre-book offer for its fans where they can pre-book the Iconia W4 3G tablet and avail a special offer worth Rs. 2999. With the 64GB tablet, consumers can get the stylish crunch cover worth Rs. 2999 absolutely free.

Additionally, consumers can also log into the app, participate in an exciting contest to answer questions about the tablet, and stand a chance to win the ICONIA W4 3G tablet.

The price of Acer ICONIA W4 3G tablet is Rs. 29,999, and will be available also at Croma and Reliance Digital outlets across the country along with other Acer retail outlets, from May 3 onwards.
The Acer ICONIA W4 Wi-Fi version with 64GB varaiant was launched at Rs. 26,999 in December,2013. The other features of 3G variant is same as of its predecessor model.
The Acer Iconia W4 running on Windows 8.1 OS, sports an 8-inch IPS (1280×800) display, with a wide range of viewing angles, up to 170 degrees. It incorporates Zero Air Gap technology, which removes the air in between the touch panel and LCD module, reducing reflection and boosting readability even under sunlight. This is powered by 4th generation 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3740 Bay Trail-T processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The tablet also comes with microSD card slot for expanding storage up to 128GB. This tablet is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. This tablet is packed with powerful 4960mAh battery, which the company claims will provide 10 hours of web browsing and up to 8 hours of video playback. Slim and light, this tablet weights only 415 grams and measures 10.75 mm (0.42 inches) thin.
The Iconia W4 comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 for creating and editing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. For connectivity options, this tablet has Micro-USB, Micro-HDMI and microSD slot.
Acer has also introduced Crunch Keyboard and Crunch cover as optional accessories. Crunch Keyboard is fitted in a soft synthetic leather cover, and work as additional keyboard and Crunch cover folds out into a tablet stand with multiple angle settings to suit each user’s reading preferences. The slim-fit cover keeps clear of all ports and is available in several fashionable colors.
