After lot of teasers, Alcatel Flash 2 photographic-centric smartphone has been unveiled via digital launch. Alcatel has not announced its price but revealed the availability dates for different countries. It has already started shipping in Phillipines and will reach Indian shores on 20th October. It will be sold in India by Flipkart.
It appears nowadays the smartphones vendors are laying lot of emphasis on optics of their devices. After Lenovo’s Vibe Shot, Alcatel Flash 2 is also aimed at mobile photographic enthusiasts. The USP of Alcatel Flash 2 is its 13 Megapixels ƒ/2.0 rear camera with RealTone Dual Flash, which according to the company gives an extra advantage in low light conditions while maintaining the colors as true as possible to real life. The 5MP front shooter also comes with LED flash.
The Alcatel Flash 2 has been ergonomically designed to fit perfectly in any hand and its non-slip and mark-free curved back keeps the device spotless and dirt-free, as claimed by the company.
The other hardware features of this phone are ideal for mid-segment. It sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 OS. It is driven by 64-bit, Octa core 1.3Ghz Cortex-A53 MT6753 Processor with the Mali-T720MP4 GPU coupled with 2GB LPDDR3 SDRAM and 16GB internal storage extendable to 128GB. It is packed with 3000mAh batttery.
The Alcatel Flash 2 is a Dual-SIM device. This phone supports 4G LTE networks and also offers connectivity options of 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi etc.
In our opinion, this phone should be in the range of Rs. 15,000 to make a mark in India.
