After lot of rumours and media buzz about launch of new iPhone by technology giant Apple Inc., finally the company has emailed invitations to the media for an event in San Francisco on September 12, setting the stage for what is widely expected to be the release of the iPhone 5.
Although the invite didn’t say specifically what would be announced, the typically cryptic invitation said “It’s almost here”, sported a number 12 – corresponding to the date of the event – and cast a large shadow of the number 5, a clue that the fifth version of the popular iPhone could debut on this day.
Apple will hold the event at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts at 10 AM local time , the preferred venue for the unveiling of past products such as the iPad.
Apple’s iPhone launches are among the most-watched events on the tech industry calendar. In the curent scenario of its tough competition with its arch-rival Samsung, this product launch has become more interesting as all eyes are glued to new iPhone version and how Apple can take lead over smash-hit Samsung’s Galaxy SIII and recently launched Galaxy Note II smartphones.
The latest version of the iPhone may sport a larger, higher-end screen. The new screen could measure 4″ inches from corner to corner, an increase from the 3.5-inch display that has been held constant since the smartphone began selling in 2007 and revolutionized the mobile industry. Induction of larger screen may be in response to Samsung’s larger Android phones, which have helped it to take lead over Apple and emerging the world’s biggest smartphone maker.
It is expected that the new iPhone will be available for pre-order almost immediately after the event, with the device to hit store shelves by the end of the month, well in time for the crucial holiday season.
Apple followers wait till 12th September, 2012 when you will hear about arrival of new baby with its features!
