Coolpad Dazen is all set to foray into Indian market with its 4G LTE enabled smartphones, which will be sold online exclusively on Snapdeal. Coolpad Dazen, based in China, was founded in 1993, and is claimed to be a leader in 4G/ LTE segment and one of the world’s fastest growing smartphone players and also the fastest growing brand in China. Coolpad Group globally is a holder of more than 6000 patents including dual sim, dual standby. The company further claims that they produces more than 60 million handsets every year.
Recenly, Coolpad has roped in Varun Sharma as the Chief Executive Officer who will be looking after the India operations. Prior to joining Coolpad Dazen, Varun was Director at Flipkart and led Flipkart’s strategic global partnerships. He has several years of experience in leading and building brands for P&G in India and South East Asia. Varun is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta.
