Dell Launches Two Android & Two Windows Tablets In India

To get space in tablet segmnt, Dell has annouced today four tablets – two running on Android platform and two running on Windows 8.1 OS.

Dell Venue 7 has a 7-inch IPS display and the Venue 8 has an 8-inch display with 1280x800p resolution, and run on Android Jelly Bean version 4.2.2 OS. These tablets are powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2760 Clover Trail processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. The Venue 8 is also available in 32GB version. For connectivity options, these tablets support Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. Both tablets also have a microSD card slot.

The only difference in the above tablets is their camera specifications. While the Venue 7  is equipped with a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel  front-facing camera, the Venue 8 comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing HD camera. Both the tablets are powered by a 4100 mAh battery, and available in black color only.

The Venue tablets also come preloaded with PocketCloud which allows users to search, edit and share data from any device, anywhere and come with the assurance of Dell Services like Carry in Service and Accidental Damage service.

The price of 16GB variants of Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 is Rs.10,999 and Rs. 17,499, respectively. The Dell Venue 8 with  32GB variant costs Rs. 21,499. Dell has not announced the pricing for the 3G variants yet.

The other two tablets launched by Dell are Venue 8 Pro and Venue 11 Pro, which run on Windows 8.1 operating system.

Dell Venue 8 Pro sports 8 inch display with a 1280×800-pixel resolution, and is powered by a quad-core 1.8GHz Intel Atom processor with integrated HD graphics, coupled with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. This tablet is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel camera on the front.

The Venue 11 Pro sports a 10.8-inch full HD IPS display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution, and is powered by a fourth-genereation Intel Core i3 and i5 processors, coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. It comes with an 8MP rear and 2MP front facing camera. It has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity option.

The Venue 11 Pro also comes with a swappable battery, and durable keyboards or desktop dock options for working when sitting on a desk in your office.

The Venue 8 Pro tablet has been priced at Rs 26,499, whereas the price of the Venue 11 Pro has not been announced yet.
