Reputed Chinese brand, Gionee has introduced its new A1 smartphone in India which was unveiled in MWC 2017. Gionee A1 has USP of powerful selfie camera and massive battery. Gionee has not revealed the price of this phone. This phone comes in Gray, Black and Gold colors and will start selling in India from 31st March. Gionee is offering a two-year warranty along with a JBL headphone or a Swiss Military Bluetooth Speaker for pre-booking the phone.
The A1 is equipped with 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens and selfie flash. It also comes with 13MP rear camera with AF, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens and flash.
This phone features a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED Display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) SoC combined with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM extendable to 256GB.
This phones run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with layer of Amigo 4.0 on the top. The A1 has 4010 mAh battery with 18W ultrafast charge and dual charging chips. This phone is able to be fully charged in 2 hours as claimed by the company.
This phone has fingerprint sensors on the home button which can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. For the humid Indian conditions, the sensor unlocks the device even with moist fingers.
This is Dual SIM (Hybrid slot) phone and offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/N, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB(OTG support) and GPS. This phone has dimensions of 154.5×76.5×8.3mm and its weight is 183 gms.
This phone has a full metal body made out of A6000 aircraft grade material and looks quite impressive.
This phone will compete with Oppo F1 Plus and Vivo V5 Plus which are also selfie-focussed smartphones.
