Gionee has announced that it is upgrading its Gionee CTRL V4S smartphone to the latest Android Lollipop 5.0. The users of Gionee CTRL V4S can get their devices upgraded from a Gionee Service Centre free of charge. Post the update, the first boot will take 5-7 minutes, given the no. of apps the user had pre-installed.
With this update, the CTRL V4S will be revamped in terms of its user interface, applications and layout. With the new user interface design, there will be enhanced features like an updated notification management system, Material UI design, updated apps and more.
Few of the features which come with the update, are listed below-
a) Perfect & Easy-To-Use Incoming Call UI: New call answer interface and pop-up call UI
b) Control Center: Slide up control center from the bottom and also you can customize the screenshot you want to take.
c) Information Management System: Manage notifications from applications with the new added feature, Information Management System.
d) Ringtone DIY: Edit your favorite song. Make it as your ringtone. Get rid of boring or similar ringtones.
e) New Theme added: Good mood.
3. Updated Applications for optimized performance: Gionee Xender, Game Zone, WPS Office, Saavn, Amigo Paper
Just to remind our readers, the CTRL V4S sports a 4.5 inch IPS display and is powered by a Quad Core 1.3 GHz( Cortex-A7) processor, coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera.
The CTRL V4S is packed with a 1800mAh battery. For connectivity, it offers options of Wi-Fi,GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio and G-sensor.
Gionee CTRL V4 comes with a feature known as ‘Hotknot’, which allows two phones to exchange photos and videos in an instant as long as the two screens are put together.
