Gionee Elife E7 flagship phablet with 5.5″ inch display has been officially launched today at a grand media event held at Buddh International Circuit. The Elife E7 runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2, and is priced at Rs. 26,999 (for 16 GB variant). Along with it, a mini version i.e E7 mini was also launched with a much more affordable price tag of Rs. 18,999.
This premium phablet was unveiled in China in November and Gionee of China, has brought it to Indian shores, keeping in view of the facts that its smartphones are getting good traction in the Indian market. Gionee Elife E7 is the predecssor of Elife E6, which is getting good response in India, and its selling at Rs. 21,000 on flipkart.
The key feature of Elife E7 is its high-end 16MP auto-focus camera, and 8MP auto-focus front shooter. According to Gionee, the new version of its Amigo software will enables users to use from five convenient ways to take photos which include Voice control, normal, touch, smile and v-gesture. Its new and improved imaging applications will enable users to edit photos, alter colors and more directly on the phone and create professional looking photos in just seconds. In addition, Elife E7 sports a Photo Album that automatically categorizes photos by time, place, and facial characterizes, and events; thus, enabling users to find a specific photo in seconds.
As for its other specifications, the Elife E7 comes with a 5.5″ Inch FHD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels, 401 PPI, and is powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship S800 2.2 GHz Quad Core processor, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory, which can be expanded upto 32GB. This smartphone will support both 3G and 4G networks. The Elife E7 is equipped with the latest 3rd Generation Gorilla Glass which is 20 times more scratch resistance than regular classes and twice as durable as the second generation of Gorilla Glass. In addition, Elife E7’s touch screen is immune to gloves, wet hands, and will ensure photographers can take pictures in any weather and situation.
The Elife E7 has also features of double tap to wake up the system, and voice control to wake up the phone. It will be available in black, white, blue, pink, green, yellow and orange colour and will be available in India starting January 2014.
About pricing, the price mentioned in beginning of this post is for 16 GB variant, which comes with 2GB RAM, and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.2GHz. The 32GB variant with 3GB RAM and powered by a 2.5GHz processor is priced at Rs. 29,999.
