This smartphone will face very tough challenge from Micromax’s Canvas 4, which was launched today for Rs. 18,000 and Samsung’s Galaxy Grand which is also available in the price range of Rs. 18,000. We fail to understand the logic behind the pricing of Gionee’s smartphones, which are highly priced and since they do not have established brand name in the Indian market, it will be difficul for them to sell their smartphones in good numbers against established brands at the announced prices. They will have to re-adjust the prices of their complete range to make its presence felt in India, which is very price-conscious market.
