Following on the precedent set by smartphones leader Samsung, Gionee also unveiled today the Elife E7 Mini in India, alongwith its flagship Gionee Elife E7. Gionee surprised everybody at the launch event when it announced that it is launching for gloabal market the Elife E7 Mini, in India, and henceforth all new products will be announced at the same time in India alongwith China. The Elife E7 Mini is priced at Rs. 18,999, and is targetted for those customers, who can’t afford its premium Elife E7, which starts at the price of Rs. 26,999. The Elife E7 is a single SIM smartphone whereas the Mini version supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality.
The Elife E7 Mini sports a 4.7 inch display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and is powered by the recently released octa core MediaTek MT6592 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz along with 1 GB of Ram and 16 GB of internal storage. This is stripped down version of the Elife E7, and is equipped with an 8 MP auto focus swivel camera which can rotate to perform as a rear facing camera or front facing camera as required. The Elife E7 Mini runs on the Android Jelly Bean OS with a layer of the company’s Amigo UI. This smartphone will be available in two colour variants.
