Gionee of China has expanded its portfolio of Marathon and announced the launch of Marathon M5 Lite smartphone. The USP of this phone is its 4000 mAh Li- Po battery which is claimed to deliver standby time of 450 hours and a 32.7 hours of talk time. This phone is priced Rs. 12,999 and will be available at all the leading retail outlets and snapdeal in the online space.
The other highlight of the Marathon M5 Lite is that it incorporates smart power consumption system especially under Extreme mode and can provide a talk time of 3 hours and standby time of upto 32 hours even if there is only 5% of power left. The M5 Lite can be charged comparatively faster and is also capable of reverse charging which means it can be used as a power bank to charge other phones.
The Marathon M5 Lite features a 5 inch HD IPS display with resolutions of 720×1280 pixels with Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processsor combined with 3GB RAM and 32GB of built-in storage that can be expanded upto 128GB via microSD card.
This phone is equipped with an 8 MP autofocus rear camera with LED-flash, and also houses a 5 MP front camera. The Marathon M5 Lite runs on Amigo 3.1, based on Android 5.1 and a specially designed Music Player. The Marathon M5 Lite comes with features like Chameleon, Pic-note, face beauty and DTS Sound. This is Dual SIM 4G LTE enabled phone and comes in Golden color.
