Whenever PM Narendra Modi is on overseas tours, he steals the show whichever is the country. Today it was the turn of Hannover city in Germany.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Chancellor of Germany, Chancellor Angela Merkel jointly opened HANNOVER MESSE, the world’s leading trade fair, and visited a selection of exhibitors. In this trade fair, 6000+ companies from across the globe are participating. The Indian Government’s ‘Make in India’ Lion took the center stage resonating the message to ‘Make in India’ well with businesses at the show.
On this occasion, Mr. Modi and Ms. Merkel jointly inaugurated the EEPC India Pavilion and met with Indian representatives from various participating corporations. During the conversations with Exhibitors and visitors, Mr. Modi emphasized on India’s “Make in India’ campaign and reiterated India’s commitment to creating and improving the business ties with Germany.
Prime Minister Modi & Chancellor Merkel also jointly inaugurated the Indo-German Summit where Modi expressed his views on the significance of the Indo-German relationship.
While addressing the audience, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi shared, “Germany ranks 8th among foreign investor countries in India. About 600 Indo-German Joint ventures are presently operating in India. The purpose of my being here and participating in the Hannover Fair is to highlight that there is more potential in Indo-German economic collaboration. Though we have a vibrant relationship, our economic partnership is not as much as both countries would like to have. The flow of investments from Germany is well below the potential and less than Indian investments in Germany.“
