HCL Launches Budget Android ME Tablets From Rs. 5,999 Onwards

HCL has widened its portfolio of ME tablets by launching three new budjet Android tablets, at starting price of Rs. 5,999. These  competitively priced tablets with unbeatable features are – HCL ME U2  for INR 5,999, HCL ME V1  for INR 7,999 and HCL ME Y3 for INR 11,999.  All the tablets run Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

HCL ME U2

It features a 1 Ghz Cortex A9 processor, 1 GB DDR3 RAM, Full HD, support up to 16 external dongles and mini HDMI.  The HCL ME U2 runs Android 4.0 OS, and  has a 7-inch multi-capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. The tablet has an internal memory of 4GB, which can be expanded up to 32GB. The tablet has a 3000 mAh Lithium Polymer battery. It doesn’t sport a rear camera, however, a 0.3-Megapixel front camera is present.It allows you to enjoy full HD video playback at 1080p.The ME U2 does include the Google Play app store.

HCL ME V1

It is also a 7-inch tablet, but it is powered by a Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1GHz. The tablet includes a 2 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3 megapixel front camera. Other features include 4GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB), full HD video playback at 1080p and a 3200 mAh battery. This  tablet does not feature the Google Play app store, and users will only be able to download apps through HCL’s own ME App Store. The company is pitching it as a pure Phablet device with integrated voice receiver and integrated call vibrate option and built in EDGE Data support. It also has a dual camera, built in proximity sensor and 1 GB DDR3 RAM for faster processing. Whether the user wishes to take a call or listen to music there is no additional accessory needed on the V1.

HCL ME Y3

It sports a 1 Ghz Cortex A9 processor, built-in GPS & FM Radio and a mini HDMI Port. Also, the HCL Me Y3 has a Dual SIM which none of the closest competitors has. This tablet features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. The tablet has a 3100 mAh Lithium Polymer battery. It has a 3.2-Megapixel back camera and a 0.3-Megapixel front camera. The tablet comes with 4GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot through which storage can be expanded up to 32GB. It also lets users access the ME App store.

Some of the apps that comes pre-loaded with the new range of HCL ME Tabs are Big-Flix, Cleartrip,  LinkedIn, NimBuzz, Twitter and Facebook. The HCL ME tablets will be supported by an integrated back up service – HCL Touch, a 24X7 one touch service facility. As of now the tablets are available in select cities and will be available across the country by February 2013 onwards.
