HCL Infosystems has partnered with ibibo Web Private Ltd for the pre installation of iBrowser on its tablet range. iBrowser is one of the fastest growing mobile browser in India, which will give an amazing web experience to HCL Tablet users. iBrowser comes from Tencent – Asia’s largest internet company and world’s third largest. The HCL ME U1 and HCL ME Y2 android tablets are equipped with the iBrowser and now as part of the partnership it would be pre – installed on all future new tablet models from HCL in the future.
The speedy and compact iBrowser complements the HCL ME Tabs which has sleek user interfaces and is powered by the latest Android OS 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It would enhance the browsing experience by way of easy and secure access to websites, including email, community sites, search and news. The HCL ME Y2 is a 3G enabled device with in-built SIM slot and Wi-Fi connectivity, and is enabled with bluetooth.
The Y2 has full HD, Thinkfree Office Mobile, is equipped with a 2-mega pixel rear camera and a 0.3 mega pixel front camera which enables video chatting, 7″ inch multi touch capacitive screen with a 1024*600 pixel display, runs smoothly on a powerful Cortex A9 1 Ghz processor and comes with a 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory. HCL ME Y2 also has a mini USB, mini HDMI and a Micro SD card slot. It has a robust 4000 mAH battery to deliver long hours of high definition audio and video playback.
Even as the iBrowser enhances the internet access on the HCL ME U1 and Y2, the users of the tablets can exclusively access the ME App store which has over 15000 applications capturing the latest and the best android apps. The HCL ME U1 is packed with High-performance Cortex A8 1 GHz Processor, Multiple Connectivity options – USB port, Wifi and 3G USB Dongle and 7 inches 800×480 pixels Capacitive Touch Display.
