Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is on launching spree of its Honor branded smartphones. On December 5, they had launched Honor 7X and Honor View 10 at a global event in London. Now they have unveiled Honor 9 Lite smartphone in China. This phone comes in three variants – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option, 4GB RAM + 32GB of storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage and in China is priced Yuan 1199 ( approx. Rs. 12,000), 1499 (approx Rs. 15,000) and 1799 (approx. Rs. 17,000) respectively. This phone will be available in Navy Blue, Seagull Gray, Black and Pearl White colors.
On the specifications front, the Honor 9 Lite flaunts a 5.65-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ display with 2.5D curved glass display and aspect ratio of 18:9. This phone is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 659 processor with MaliT830-MP2 GPU. It comes with options of 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 32GB / 64GB storage, and internal storage can be further extended upto 256GB with microSD card. It is packed with 3000mAh battery.
On the photographic front, the Honor 9 Lite is mounted with four cameras – two in the rear and two in the front. It has 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash, PDAF and secondary camera of 2MP camera. On the front, it comes with 13MP camera and secondary 2MP camera.
This phone runs Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top and comes with Hybrid Dual SIM slots. It offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and 3.5 mm headphone jack.
In China, it will start selling from 26th December. Honor has not announced when it will be launched in India but we assume that it will arrive in India sometimes in the month of February as Honor View 10 is being launched in India in the first week of January.
