HTC has expanded their portfolio of mid-range smartphones, and has launched another budjet smartphone, in Taiwan, under the nomenclature of Desire L. This phone has been announced on the HTC Taiwan website, and there is no word from the company when this version of smartphone will be available in other international markets including India. Typically, HTC’s mid-range phones make a late entry into India, and the same could be the case with the Desire L.
Since this Desire L is aimed towards budjet market, it features a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 display with 480×800 pixels resolution. The smartphone weighs in at 118 grams, and measures 128 x 66.9 x 8.9mm. HTC Desire L is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded through a microSD card. This phone is equipped with a 5 megapixel rear camera, but it lacks a front-facing camera. It also has the Beats Audio drivers that HTC includes in its phones. HTC Desire L comes with an 1800mAh battery.
The Desire L will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and will also be running on top either Sense 4 or Sense 4+. It is unknown whether the phone will get the Sense 5 update.
The Desire L will be available in three colours – black, white and pink, and its price has not been revealed yet.
