HTC Launches One X+ For Rs. 40,190, Dual SIM Desire SV For Rs 22,590

It appears that HTC is on launching spree of smartphones to take full advantage of festival season in India on account of forthcoming Diwali. HTC has announced two Windows 8 phones and two Android smartphones to  lure prospective customers to lay their hands on one of them in this shopping season. Two Android smartphones launched by HTC are their flagship HTC One X+, which  is the successor to the HTC One X, and mid-level Dual-SIM Desire SV.

HTC One X+

HTC One X+ features 4.7″ inch display and is powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 AP37 processor. The company claims that the HTC One X+ is 27 percent faster than the HTC One X. The HTC One X+ enables quicker web browsing, fluid gaming and graphic rendering, and speedy downloads. In addition to 64 GB of internal storage, the HTC One X+ also offers users 25 GB of Dropbox storage free for two years, and supports expanded storage capabilities via USB.

It also has a 2100 mAh battery that, according to HTC, offers 37 percent more talk time compared to its predecessor. There is an 8 megapixel rear camera on board and 1.6 megapixel front camera. In the newly launched Self Portrait mode on the front camera captures high quality photos by detecting the human face at various angles and applying enhancements to the skin and eyes. In the Sightseeing mode, one touch of the power button bypasses the lock screen and launches the camera. Two new Gallery views display images and videos, and group them according to the place and time at which they were taken.

HTC One X+ will run the HTC Sense 4+ user interface (UI) on Android v4.1 Jelly Bean. Also bundled is Beats Audio with new Tap and Go function, which allows you to connect the phone and your music to Beats speakers’ when you tap them. The HTC One X+ is available in Stealth Black and Polar White at an MOP (Best Buy) of Rs 40,190 from November 2012 on-wards in India.

This smartphone of HTC will face stiff challenge from Samsung’s Galaxy S III and Apple’s iPhone 5.

HTC Desire SV

This  is a GSM+GSM dual-SIM smartphone, and features a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 4 GB internal storage and 8 megapixel rear camera and a 4.3″ inch display. The HTC Desire SV comes loaded with Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with the HTC Sense UI. This handset can be upgraded to Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) once HTC releases it for the handset.

Just like other devices, it also offers 25 GB of free cloud space from Dropbox. With exclusive Beats Audio, HTC claims that one can get good sound with powerful bass, more dynamics and improved clarity.

The HTC Desire SV will be available in Radical Yellow and Stealth Black at a best buy price of Rs 22,590 in India from this month.
