To take head-on with the Chinese smartphones, HTC of Taiwan has unveiled affordable smartphone with impressive specifications. This smartphone is HTC One X9, which will start selling soon first in China at equivalent of US $370. The company has not announced yet when it will debut in other global markets including India.
The HTC One X9 has metallic design and comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution display with Corning Gorilla glass protection. Unde the hood is 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 SoC (8x Cortex-A53) clubbed with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage with expansion capability of upto 2TB via microSD card.
Like the more expensive recently introduced HTC One A9 smartphone, the X9 also boasts of same camera features. HTC One X9 is also equipped with a 13 MP f/2.0 autofocus rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) plus dual-tone flash. It is also capable of capturing images in Raw format and recording videos in 4K resolution. It also houses an UltraPixel f/2.0 front camera for capturing images even in low-light.
The other highlight of X9 is that it incorporates BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers. But this device does not have fingerprint sensor. It is also not certain whether X9 will run Android Marshmallow or Lollipop 5.1 OS on this phone as the company has not disclosed the exact version.
This smartphone is packed with a 3000mAh battery. It offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and GPS/ A-GPS etc. This will be available in two colors – Gunmetal Grey and Silver.
