Honor brand of Huawei, which has received overwhelming response in India since its arrival one year ago, has added one more feather to its cap. Today, at an event in New Delhi, the fast emerging Chinese brand has launched mid-range Honor 7 smartphone an attractive price of Rs.22,999 with powerful features which can be found only on high-end devices of the competitors at sky touching prices.
The Honor 7 will be available exclusively on Flipkart from 15th October in two colors, Mystery Gray and Fantasy Silver.
As its name suggests, Honor 7 has seven great features which are its metal and elegant design, its optics, batttery, RAM, fingerprint sensor Smart Key and its price.
The Huawei Honor 7 flaunts an elegant aluminum alloy body with ceramic blasted finish, which gives it elegant look and can be held in one hand without slippage. The Honor 7 is designed in such a way to look solid and rigid device and you would love to carry it in your hand.This phone weighs 157g and it has dimensions of 143.2×71.9×8.5mm.
This phone features 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) display with a pixel density of 423ppi. The LCD display is protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 for preventing scratches. Under the hood is Huawei’s 64-bit octa-core Kirin 935 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores at 2.2GHz + four Cortex-A53 at 1.5GHz) and ARM’s Mali-T628 GPU. It comes with 3GB RAM, which is more than enough for multi-tasking and internal storage of 16GB. Moreover, its SmartPower 3.0 feature can save 30% battery life by freezing apps that are not in use and this battery can be used to charge other phones (reverse-charging feature).
The Honor 7 also incorporates a fingerprint sensor which is placed below the rear camera that not ony enables users to unlock the smartphone with a single tap but you can also use it as a button to start various tasks including for taking selfies. This phone also comes with SmartKey button on the left side. This is very useful addition in the Honor 7. After setting up the Smart Key button, it enables you to launch up to three different applications or commands.
This phone gives you various connectivity options such as NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and 4G LTE. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with the latest version of Huawei’s Emotion UI on top.
The Honor 7 also comes with voice capabilities, such as the ability to be woken up with a designated command. It also has knuckle-tap feature to take screenshots with ease by tapping on the screen twice with the knuckles for an instant full-screen capture. The Honor 7 also incorporates pre-embedded SOS feature in the phone. The SOS feature is an application which can be configured by the user as per their convenience. It can be activated by pressing the power button and shaking the phone as well as other combination of buttons. This feature will be made available in the first batch of Honor 7.
