At an online event, Huawei has launched P40 series of smartphones comprising of Huawei P40 Pro+, HUAWEI P40 Pro and HUAWEI P40. These three smartphones have USP of innovative mobile photography and also come with other top-notch features. All the three smartphones are powered by the latest Huawei Kirin 990 mobile chipset with support for 5G. All the three smartphones have in-screen fingerprint reader which offers 30 percent faster biometric authentication. These phones run on EMUI 10.1 operating system.
Huawei P40 features a 6.1 inch FHD+ OLED Display with support for 90Hz. It comes with 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and is packed with 3800mAh battery with 27W Wireless SuperCharge. This phone is armed with triple rear cameras of 50MP Ultra Vision camera with f/1.9 aperture, 16MP ultra-wide camera, 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and dual-tone LED flash. For selfies, it has 32MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and feature of 4k video recording. For security, this phone has In-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature. It is also water and dust proof with IP53 certification.
On the other hand, the Huawei P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ sport a 6.58 inch FHD+ Flex OLED display with support for 90Hz and which is Quad-curve Overflow Display having super narrow bezels which gives a near borderless look. These phones come with 8GB RAM with 256GB / 512GB of internal storage and are packed with 4200mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge. These two phones are water and dust proof with IP68 certification.
The P40 Pro is packed with Leica 50MPUltra Vision camera with f/1.9 aperture with OIS feature, 40MP ultra-wide cine camera, 12MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom and 50x digital zoom and ToF camera for depth sensing.
The P40 Pro+ also boasts of quad camera set-up comprising of 50MP Ultra Vision camera with f/1.9 aperture, OIS, 40MP ultra-wide cine camera, 8MP periscope camera with f/4.4 aperture with 10x optical zoom, 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, ToF camera for depth sensing and features of 20x Hybrid Zoom and 100x Max Zoom. Both the phones have 32MP AF front Camera with features of IR Depth, Bokeh reproduction and IR Face Unlock for device unlock even in low light conditions.
All the three phones support connectivity options of 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax , Bluetooth 5.1 LE, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C (GEN1) etc.
The P40 and Pro comes in three glossy glass finishes – Ice White, Deep Sea Blue and Black and two refractive matte glass finishes – Blush Gold and Silver Frost. The P40 Pro+ comes in ceramic white and ceramic black colors.
