InFocus, based in US, has tasted great sucess after its arrival in India in the month of March this year with the launch of M2 and M330 smartphones. The company claims that since its launch, around 1.5 lakh devices have been sold so far. To take this success story further, InFocus has officially announced the launch of M530 smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity at an attractive price of Rs. 10,999. InFocus also unveiled the M350 smartphone, which was announced last week for Rs. 7,999. Both these devices will be available only on Snapdeal.com against flash sale from 26th June.
All the devices of InFocus are manufactured by Foxconn of China, which also manufacture devices of reputed brands like Apple etc. After selling good number of M2 and M330, InFocus is quite confident that they would be able to sell more than 2 lakh devices of M350 and M530 put together.
The InFocus M530 smartphone supports Dual-SIM (Micro-SIM). It features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) full-lamination display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection against scratches. This phone runs on jaded Android KitKat OS, and is powered by MediaTek MT6595 octa-core processor (four 2GHz Cortex-A17 cores + four 1.7GHz Cortex-A7 cores) coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable to 64GB via microSD card.
The M530 has USP of its powerful front and rear cameras of 13MP. Both the cameras come with LED flash, Sony Exmor sensors and autofocus fetures. The rear camera features f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation whereas the front-facing camera has 80-degree wide-viewing angle and f/2.2 aperture. The camera of this phone incorporates inbuilt picture enhancement tools to smoothen or whiten one’s face or teeth, remove oil, fade away dark circles, enhance eyes, and add effects like blush, mascara eye liner, lipstick, lip liner, to create images of your choice.
The M530 also boasts of The Hot Knot feature for sharing pictures, movies, apps, files etc., simply by sticking two M530s together. It also comes with Gesture feature for initiating your phone from sleeping mode and directly run apps like Facebook, What’s App, SMS, Calendar and more by way of gestures.
The M530 is fuelled by a powerful 3100mAh removable battery. For connectivity, this phone provide options of 4G, 3G, USB-OTG, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth 4.0. It also comes with Ambient light, proximity, accelerometer, e-compas and gyro sensors.
The dimensions of this phone are 157x77x8.9mm. It will be available in White and Violet colors.

From hardware perspective, the M530 looks quite impressive and can compete with HTC Desire 820s, Samsung Galaxy A5, Lenovo S90, Xiaomi Mi4i, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Samsung Grand Max. But how this phone performs to give challenge to the aforementioned brands, is too early to comment. It is early days for InFocus as they have just started their journey in India. But the way, their phones have received response so far, the road ahead of them is full of great opportunites.
