The ultra-slim Intel Compute Stick has been launched in India, which is owered by an Intel Atom Quad-Core processor. This plug-and-play Intel Compute Stick is a new category of computing devices that enables you to transform a display unit into a fully functioning entry level computer. Any HDMI enabled TV or monitor can become a basic computer by simply plugging in the Intel Compute Stick.
This Stick is available in two variants :
- Pre installed with Bing and Windows 8.1, this Intel Compute Stick variant includes 32GB storage and 2GB memory.
- Pre-installed with Ubuntu 14.04, this offering of the Intel Compute Stick includes 8GB storage and 1GB memory.
Both devices have connectivity options of Wi-Fi(802.11bgn), Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 port to connect peripherals and a micro SD card slot for additional storage.
The Intel Compute Stick is currently available on Flipkart at Rs. 9,999 ( First variant). This will also be available through Intel Technology Providers across the country.
iBall has also recently announced the launch of iBall Spelndo PC-On-Stick, powered by the Intel Atom Quad-Core Processor which runs Windows 8.1and has a 2GBRAM with 32GB in-built memory.
