It appears that after the huge success of Moto E and Moto G, all the Indian brands have focussed their attention on budget smartphones. Today, Intex announced the launch of Aqua i5 Mini to pose somewhat challenge to Moto E. This smartphone is available only in white color and comes with a free flip cover at an MOP of Rs. 6,850/-. This phone can be purchased from 40000 plus resellers, several hypermarkets and leading e-commerce portals across the country.
The Aqua i5 Mini features a 4.5″ FWVGA IPS Display, and runs on 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Android OS. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor, coupled with1 GB RAM & 4GB of inbuilt memory that is expandable upto 32GB via microSD card. This phone has Dual-SIM(WCDMA+GSM) capabilities and is equipped with an 8MP Rear Auto Focus camera with Flash light and 2.0 MP Front shooter with Geo tagging. This smartphone is fuelled by a 1500mAh battery.
For connectivity, the Aqua i5 Mini supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and incorporates four sensors – Light Sensor, Magnetic Sensor, Proximity Sensor, G sensor.
The Aqua i5 Mini is a sleek compact smartphone with thickness of 9.5 mm. It boasts of theme based UI which allows users to access the phone features by clicking on the related theme. For instance, a user can access the phone book by just clicking on the book theme.

According to Intex, they have sold last year 11.5 million handsets and out of which, Smartphones contributed over 1.5 million of its share. Intex has already launched 32 mid-segment smartphones under its Aqua range and has plans to launch around 8 more models during the next quarter.
