The leading handsets maker, Lava International, has expanded its portfolio of Iris range of smartphones, and has announced the launch of its latest entry level phablet, Lava Iris 550Q at a price of Rs. 13,000. Lava Iris 550q is Dual-Sim smartphone with CDMA+GSM support. This is available in black color only and the company is providing free flip cover alongwith the device. The Iris 550q will be available across national retail chain stores, multi-brand outlets across India and online stores beginning April 2014.
This phablet comes with a super narrow 3mm bezel and with full lamination touch screen to give it a classy look.Lava Iris 550Q sports a 5.5 inch IPS display with OGS technology and HD resolution (1280 X 720 pixels). This phablet is powered by a1.2GHz quad-core processor, coupled with a 1GB RAM and an internal memory of 4 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB via Micro SD card. For shooting, this phablet is equipped with a 2MP front camera and an 8 MP primary camera with BSI sensor situated at the back panel of the device and the camera is capable of recording videos in 1080p resolution. Lava Iris 550Q is fuelled by a 2,600-mAh battery, which is claimed to have stand by and talk time of up to 10 hours on 2G, and standby time of upto 500 hours. It weighs 177 grams and measures 156×77.8×9.8mm.
