At an event in New Delhi, LeEco of China has launched today two new smartphones – Le 2 and Le Max 2. The Le 2 will be available at Rs. 11,999 whereas the Le Max 2 has a price tag of Rs. 22,999 for the 4GB RAM/32GB storage variant, and Rs. 29,999 for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage version. The Le Max2 will be sold via first flash sale on June 28th, and first Le 2 flash sale will take place in early July. Registration for both the models will be open on June 20th on Flipkart.com and LeEco’s LeMall.com.
Both the newly smartphones will be bundled with a 1-year LeEco Membership, which is priced at Rs. 4,900 a year. With this membership, users can get access to a collection of 2000+ movies from across the world including 3000+ hours of curated shows, 150+ live TV channels and 3.5 million songs etc plus a 5TB LeEco Cloud Drive Storage.
Coming to the hardware features, the Le 2 sports a 5.5-inch bezel-less In-Cell HD display (1920×1080 pixels) with blue light filter which helps reduce eye fatigue. For protection, the display has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 over it. Under the hood is1.8GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor combined with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
This phone is equipped with a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, Closed Loop, HDR and Dual-LED flash. It also houses an 8MP front shooter. This phone has fingerprint sensor on the back behind the camera. It also comes with Gyroscope, Gravity, Proximity sensors etc.
This phone gets its juice from a 3000mAh battery. It supports all Indian bands of 4G Lte including VoLTE.
On the other hand, the Le Max2 flaunts a a 5.7-inch bezel-less 2K Super Retina Display with resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and pixel density of 551 PPI. It is packed with 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. This phone is available in two variants of 4GB RAM/32 GB of internal storage and 6GB RAM and 64GB of ROM.
On the optics front, this phone comes with 21MP rear camera with F/2.0 aperture, OIS for blur free images even in low light. It has features of 6P lens, PDAF, Closed Loop, Dual HDR and Dual-tone flash. The Le Max2 is also equipped with an 8MP front camera for taking bright selfies.
This phone gets its power from 3100mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology. This phone also supports 4G LTE and VoLTE besides offering other connectivity options of Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and GPS etc.
The Le Max2 also has fingerprint scanner on the back which according to the company comes with Sense ID 3D fingerprint technology which recognises fingerprints even if the registered finger has moisture or grease on it and is ideally suitable for Indian conditions.
Both the phones – Le 2 and Le Max2 have replaced the 3.5mm headphone port with the world’s first CDLA(Continual Digital Loseless Audio) Type-C interface. This also works as data transfer and charging port. LeEco has introduced a new digital architecture, CDLA technology that enables end-to-end lossless digital music transmission and is the world’s first continual digital lossless audio standard. With this technology, the users will get immersive audio experience on these two phones.
LeEco has also unveiled the world’s first Type-C CDLA Earphones at Rs 1,999.
Both the phone runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based EUI 5.5 OS. Both the smartphones flaunt the full metal unibody design and have appealing look.
