Lenovo A6000 & A6000plus 4G Enabled Smartphones Get Lollipop Update

Lenovo has been very successful with the launches of its affordable 4G LTE enabled smartphones – Lenovo A6000 & A6000plus, which were introduced in Indian market with Android KitKat 4.4 OS. To enable its consumers to have better experience with the latest Android OS on these devices, Lenovo has updated these devicess with the latest Lollipop 5.0 OS, which according to Lenovo will result in fixing bugs, improving performance and stability over the KitKat OS.

With wide-spread expansion of 46 LTE in India in 2015, the Lenovo A6000 and A6000plus are poised to take on this new technology and give consumers the best performance at very reasonable prices. These two devices were launched in India at Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 7,499, respectively. These are the cheapest 4G devices available in India with reasonable hardware. Lenovo claims to have sold 1.3 million units of A6000 and A6000plus till date. A6000 is now available across major retail stores in India, A6000 plus is sold exclusively on Flipkart.

According to the IDC’s Asia/Pacific Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, Q2, 2015 ( August 2015 release), Lenovo has emerged as the biggest 4G smartphone brand in India with a whopping 29.4 per cent market share of the 4G smartphone market. Lenovo is leading the market trend with its aggressively priced 4G LTE smartphone portfolio, with over a million 4G devices sold during Q2, 2015, concludes the statement of Lenovo.
