Lenovo is set to launch its budget smartphone, Lenovo A7000, which was unveiled at MWC 2015. Lenovo has started sending our media invite for 7th April event in New Delhi with image of Dolby theatre. The Lenovo A7000 has built-in Dolby Atmos technology, and is expected to be in the price range of Rs. 10,000.
The Lenovo A7000 is the successor to the company’s popular 4G/ LTE compliant Lenovo A6000. The Lenovo A7000 comes with enhanced features compared to Lenovo A6000. The Lenovo A7000 is being touted as multi media device and has a larger 5.5 inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display. It is driven by an octa-core 1.5GHz (MediaTek MT6572M) processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal stoarge, which is expandable. This smartphone supports dual-SIM (Micro-SIM). It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with layer of Vibe UI.
The A7000 is equipped with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and also houses a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfie geeks. Besides 4G/LTE connectivity in India, the Lenovo A7000 has other options of connectivity, which include Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth etc.
The Lenovo A7000 is fuelled by a 2900mAh battery. It has dimensions of 152.6×76.2×7.99mm and weighs 140 grams.
The Lenovo A7000 would compete with Huawei’s Honor 4X, which would go on sale on 30th March and is priced at Rs. 10,499.
