Lenovo has launched today the much anticipated PHAB2 Pro – the world’s first Tango-enabled AR smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 29990, the PHAB2 Pro will be available exclusively on Flipkart in Champagne Gold colour from 20th January.
This phone is powered by Google’s Tango technology – a set of sensors and software that detects and maps surroundings to enable a host of cutting-edge smartphone augmented reality (AR) experiences possible. For example, using AR apps, students can place true-to-scale virtual dinosaurs in their classrooms and enhance their learning through AR data overlays that appear while they walk around the creatures. With Tango technology, the PHAB2 Pro can even begin to change the way people think about mapping indoor spaces to create new experiences like future augmented reality museum tours, home improvement, interior decoration and more as stated by Lenovo in its press statement.
On the specifications front, the PHAB2 Pro sports a 6.4-inch Quad HD 2.5D Curved Glass display with resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels. Under the hood of this phone is Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor with Adreno 510 GPU. This phone has 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory which can be extended upto 128GB with microSD card. On the imaging front, this phone comes with 16MP camera with PDAF, Depth Sensor and Motion Tracking Sensor for Tango. For selfies, this phone is mounted with 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.
This phone also incorporate fingerprint sensor and is equipped with DOLBY Atmos sound with 5.1 audio capture and three microphones with noise reduction capability. For connectivity, this phone offers options of 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS etc.
