Lenovo has entered into partnership with Canonical in India and announced today that it will be shipping Ubuntu OS preloaded devices starting with ThinkPad L450 laptop series starting early July 2015. These laptops will be available to purchase from selected resellers and distributors throughout India at prices starting from INR 40,000.

The ThinkPad L450 laptop series models are sleekly designed durable machines and come with 14 inch HD displays. They are powered by Intel Core i3 5005U and i5 52000U processors paired with 4GB RAM and 500GB hard drives.
The ThinkPad L450 laptop series will come preloaded with Ubuntu 14.04 (the long term support version) with support and maintenance for five years from release date. In addition to long-term support, Ubuntu 14.04 comes with touch screen enhancements and works seamlessly on hiDPI monitors.
