Lenovo has launched today world’s thinnest hybrid notebook- Yoga Book in India which can work like a laptop or in tablet mode. This ultra thin hybrid device is priced Rs. 49,990 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart in carbon black color. This notebook has thickness of 9.6mm and its weight is just 690 grams.
The major highlights of this notebook is its Halo keyboard and Real Pen input for writing and sketching on the Yoga Book.
The halo keyboard, a full touch screen backlit keyboard that is made with glass to give a rough, matte feel and finish, along with anti-glare coating to ensure the best possible touch-typing experience. The keyboard lacks any physical keys, showing up as a solid white outline on the Yoga Book’s second panel only when it is needed. The halo keyboard constantly ‘learns about and adapts to’ the typing habits of its user, with built-in prediction and artificial learning software. It comes withf haptic technology, which enables touch feedback to guide typing and reduce mistakes. According to Lenovo, the halo keyboard far surpasses the typing experience and speed of a normal tablet, and is comparable with that of a physical keyboard.
With the real-pen accessory that comes with this notebook, the users can write or sketch onto a piece of paper which can be fixed magnetically on the device or notepad covering the multi-use keyboard panel. The multi-use keyboard and real-pen accessory recreate the natural feel of drawing flat on a paper surface instead of directly onto a computer screen. The real-pen accessory can draw with the precision of a pencil or paintbrush, with 2,048 pressure levels and 100-degree angle detection. No need to charge or replace the real-pen accessory as it doesn’t require batteries and its ink can be replaced with standard ink tips, just like that of a conventional pen.
On the hardware front, this notebook features a 10.1-inch full-HD (1200×1920 pixels) IPS display at 400 nits brightness. It is powered by a 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8550 processor with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of internal storage that is expandable upto 128GB via microSD card. It is packed with A 8500mAh battery which is claimed to last for 13 hours on a single charge.
The Yoga Book is equipped with an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and a 2MP fixed-focus front camera.It incorporats Dolby Atmos sound for an immersive audio experience. It comes with single Nano-SIM and offers connectivity options off 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 4.0. It runs on Windows 10 Pro OS.
