LG G Pad 10.1 Tablet Begins Global Rollout

South Korean giant LG, which had unveiled G Pad 10.1 alongwith G Pad 7.0 and G Pad 8.0 tablets in the month of May, has announced today the rollout schedule for its large sized tablet – G Pad 10.1. The LG G Pad 10.1 will first make its debut in the United States this month followed by other markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America later in the month. LG has not revealed its prices and exact date of retail availability, which will be announced locally in each market.

GP10.1As its name suggests, the G Pad 10.1 features a 10.1 inches IPS display ( 1280 x 800 resolution), and is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 1GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and has microSD card slot. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS and is equipped with 5MP rear and 1.3MP front camera. It is packed with a 8000mAh battery and will be available in black and red colors. This tablet measures 260.9 x 165.9 x 8.9mm, and weighs 523 grams.

The G Pad 10.1 include LG’s proprietary UX features such as QPair 2.0 and Knock Code. With an updated version of QPair, which was first introduced on G Pad 8.3, users can effortlessly connect to their Android-powered smartphones via Bluetooth to receive notifications of calls and messages and now be able to respond directly from the G Pad. The Knock Code feature enables users to power on and unlock their LG smartphones in one easy step by entering a personalized “knock” pattern on the smartphone’s display. Knock Code offers convenience and greater security as the knock pattern can be entered anywhere on the screen in any size with the display on or off using a personalized sequence of two to eight taps for more than 80,000 possible combinations.

Besides above, the G Pad 10.1 also incorporate features such as Smart Keyboard, which reduces input errors by up to 75 percent by tracking and analyzing typing habits; Dual Window, which enables you to split the tablet screen for running two applications at the same time; Touch & Shoot application for the camera and Gesture Shot feature for selfies.
