At its Tech-Show in Greater Noida on 3rd March, LG had unveiled 4G LTE enabled version of its recent flagship smartphone LG G2. Today, LG has formally launched 4G-enabled G2 smartphone of 32 GB variant version in Bangalore, India at Rs 49,000. This will be available in three color variants – White, Black & Gold.
At present, Bangalore is India’s first ‘4G on mobile’ enabled city. The 4G enabled G2 will be relevant for the users of Bangalore only. With the introduction of mainstream 4G LTE smartphones, wider adoption of 4G technology is expected in more geographical areas in India.
Speaking on the launch event, Mr Amit Gujral, Product & Marketing Head, LG Mobile Communications said, “4G is a much awaited and relatively new mobile telephony in India, but its many benefits will ensure its fast acceptance. 4G will become main stream in India by the end of 2015 and LG G2 is a first step to realize the new mobility service for the Indian Consumers. LG G2 is one of the most exciting and ambitious phone in our company’s history and we are optimistic that 4G G2 version will repeat the same success.”
Just to remind our valuable readers, the USP of LG G2 is its form factor, which is sleek and buttonless. In this smartphone, all the buttons are placed on the rear of this device, making this the first smartphone to be completely devoid of side buttons.
LG G2 smartphone runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS. The G2 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display having 1080 x 1920 pixels with 423 ppi. The IPS display ensures superior graphics, accurate colors and clear images without any distortion. The G2 is powered by a 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 featuring quad Krait CPU, alongside 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.This smartphone is packed with powerful 3,000 mAh battery.
LG G2 is equipped with 13MP rear shooter with Optical Image Stabilize technology without a protruding lens, and 2.1MP front camera. Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) technology prevent blurring, allowing for clearer, brighter and sharper images even when in motion or shooting in dim environments. To add to the steadiness and the beauty of a camera, it is packed in Sapphire crystal glass.
The LG G2 comes with a number of compelling user experience (UX) features including Answer Me,Plug & Pop,Text Link,QuickRemote,Slide Aside and Guest Mode.
