LG has announced today its global roll-out schedule for the recently announced premium smartphone, LG G4. The LG G4 will begin rolling out this week in Hong Kong followed by other countries such as Turkey, Russia and Singapore, eventually including most of Europe, North America, CIS, Southeast Asia, Middle East/Africa and South/Central America. According to LG, Approximately 180 carriers and retails are already on board as G4 partners all over the world.
LG has not announced the price of G4, which as usual will be revealed close on the heels of its availability in the respective markets.
The LG G4 will be available in handcrafted, genuine full grain leather in six beautiful colors. The LG G4 has full metal designs, which is defined by the Slim Arc, which runs along its entire body, highlighted by a display with a subtle curvature.
The LG G4 is the first smartphone to feature LG Display’s new 5.5-inch IPS Quantum Display (2560 x 1440, 538ppi), which is claimed to offer 20 percent greater color reproduction, 25 percent improvement in brightness and 50 percent greater contrast. The LG G4 runs on Android Lollipop OS, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with X10 LTE, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage with the provision of expansion with microSD card. It is fuelled by a high-capacity 3,000mAh removable battery, which is estimated to last 20 percent longer than the G3, from the same capacity battery.
The LG G4 is equipped with 16MP rear camera, which is capable of capturing images even under low-light. The camera module features a wide F1.8 aperture lens that allows 80 percent more light to reach the sensor. For selfie crazy people, this phone has 8MP front-facing camera for sharp, detailed portraits and group shots.
The LG G4 is the first phone to incorporate upgraded UX 4.0, which has features such as Quick Shot, Gallery, Event Pocket, Smart Notice and Quick Help.
Besides above, Google Office comes pre-installed on the LG G4 for easy collaboration on-the-go and G4 owners will receive an additional 100GB of Google Drive storage free for two years.
The LG G4 will face competition from Samsung Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge and HTC One M9+. In India, the LG G4 is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 45000 to 50,000.
