LG Opens Its First ‘Air Conditioning Academy’ in New Delhi To Train 1000 Personnels

LG has opened its ‘Air Conditioning Academy’ in Saket, New Delhi in the presence of Mr. Sang Bong Lee, President B2B, LG Electronics. India is a strategic market for LG Electronics and amongst the top five priority markets for LG globally. Hence, the company launched the ‘Air Conditioning Academy’ to enhance and develop the skills level of its personnel in the country, as stated by the company in its press statement.

This is the second academy in India and the first in the North Zone. This academy will be utilized to cater to the North and East Zones. Prior to this LG had launched an academy in their Pune Factory to focus on the West and South Zones, adds the statement.

This academy is spread over 3000 Sq. ft and will showcase an entire range of LG’s air conditioning solutions:

  • Multi V IV – 4th Generation VRF unit
  • Multi V IV HR – Simultaneous Heating and Cooling system
  • Hydro Kit – Hot water generation system
  • Multi V AHU
  • Multi V Indoors such as Hi-Wall ,1-Way, 2-Way, 4-Way Cassettes and High Static Duct “installed in running condition”.
  • Chiller system
  • Multi V Water IV – Shell & Coil type water cooled system
  • Eco-V – Ventilation System for fresh Air Application

The display area is divided by vertical zones such as Office zone, Residential zone which show the real applications as per Indian environment.

Through this Academy, LG will be better placed to provide a better opportunity for the company’s existing employees and trade partners to get further educated on LG’s air conditioning solutions and gain knowledge about which product would be best suited for which environment. LG plans to train almost 1000 personnel in this academy.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Sang Bong Lee, said, “Through the air conditioning academy, we want to enhance the installation and service skills of our partners, dealers as well as LG employees and contribute to PM Modi’s ‘Skill India’ initiative, which was launched to promote national skill development. This will enable the company to train employees by giving them a real time experience of the products in running condition. We have chosen to open the academy in the heart of the city at Saket, South Delhi. This is one of the most prime locations in the city and hence with our new agenda of ‘Skill India’, we would be able to reach out better to our key influencers such as consultants, architects, developers and clients and invite them to our prestigious academy to give them a first-hand experience of a variety of air conditioning solutions, as per market requirements.”
