South Korean giant, LG has unveiled very powerful smartphone, LG Q8 which inherits core features from LG’s flagship lineup – in particular the “prosumer” V series.
Like many of LG’s high-end smartphones, the Q8 incorporates dual lenses on the back and a wide angle camera on the front for beautiful wefies. It is packed with 5MP camera front camera with 120-degree wide angle lens and Dual cameras of 8MP with a 135-degree wide angle and 16MP with 78-degree standard on the back.
On the audio front, this phone incorporates two high AOP (Acoustic Overload Point) microphones for hi-fi sound recording. Audio files are saved in 24-bit / 48 kHz LPCM (Linear Pulse Code Modulation) format – the same format used in the movie industry.
This phone features always-on Second Screen on top of the main display for a handy shortcut to contacts, tools and apps. The main 5.2-inch QHD IPS Quantum Display has resolutions of 2560 x 1440 pixels with 570ppi. The secondary IPS Quantum Display has resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels with 570ppi.
This phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Mobile Platform combined with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB UFS ROM extendable to 2TB. For gaming aficionados, this phone boasts of Vulkan-compatible 3D graphics engine for delivering resource-hungry mobile games in vibrant colors.
This phone is IP67 tated dust and water resistant and can be safely immersed up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The phone is protected by a metal frame with rounded corners that absorbs the majority of shocks and vibration.
This phone has fingerprint scanner and is packed with 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. It offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a, b, g, n, ac / Bluetooth 4.2 BLE, NFC and USB Type-C. This phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat. It has dimensions of 148.9 x 71.9 x 7.9mm and weighs 146g.
Available in Urban Titan color, this phone will initially be available in key European markets starting this week followed by markets in Asia next month.
