LG has announced the launch of its latest mid-range smartphone – LG F60, which is 4G LTE compliant. The LG F60 will begin rolling out to customers in Europe, followed by Asia and the Americas starting this week. The price of this device will be announced close on the heels of its availability in the respective markets. The F60 will be available in black and white colors.
The LG F60 sports a 4.5-inch WVGA (207ppi) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Quad-Core processor, coupled with 1GB RAM and internal storage of 4GB/8GB. LG has not clarified whether this is extendable or not. In our opinion, this will be expandable upto 32GB via microSD card.
The LG F60 comes with 5MP rear camera and also houses a 1.3MP front camera. This smartphone comes in Single and Dual-SIM versions and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. It is packed with 2,100mAh and measures 127.5 x 67.9 x 10.6mm.
The LG F60 comes fully loaded with LG’s proprietary UX features adopted heavily from the acclaimed flagship LG G3. These features include Touch & Shoot, which enable users to click the images quickly and intuitively with a simple tap anywhere on the display to focus and shoot in one single step. The Gesture Shot allows users to take easy selfies by simply opening and closing their hand in front of the lens to start a three-second countdown before the shutter is triggered.
The Knock Code security feature, which was introduced first on LG G2, unlocks the F60 in one easy step with a personalized “knock” pattern for both convenience and security.
Speaking about the launch of F60, Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said, “LG continues to demonstrate its advanced 4G LTE knowledge by bringing to global consumers better and better mobile devices that take full advantage of today’s most advanced wireless infrastructure. The LG F60 offers a premium user experience for young and old users alike who are looking for the fastest mobile experience possible at a reasonable price.”
