Meizu has launched in China M5 Note smartphone which is the successor of the m3 Note launched earlier this year. Meizu M5 will be available in three variants in China from 8th December – 3GB RAM and 16GB storage at 899 Yuan, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant for 999 Yuan and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage at 1499 Yuan. If converted to Indian Rupees, the prices works out approximately Rs. 9000, 10,000 and 15,000 respectively. This phone will be available in champagne gold, silver, grey, and blue colors.
The M5 Note has metal body and sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) LTPS 2.5D curved glass display with 1000: 1 contrast ratio. It is powered by 1.8 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with Mali T860 GPU and is paired with 3GB RAM with 16GB / 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The internal storage can be extended upto 128GB.
It is equipped with 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and also houses 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4P lens. It incorporates fingerprint scanner in the front on home button.
One of the major highlights of this phone is that it is packed with 4000mAh battery which comes with 18W fast charging. The company claims that the battery can fully charge the phone in just 90 minutes.
On the connectivity front, this phone supports 4G voLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and hybrid dual-SIM (nano+nano/microSD). This phone runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Flyme OS 6.0 on top.
Meizu has not revealed when this phone will be launhed in India. The M5 Note will face competition from Coolpad Note 5 and Redmi Note 3 in India.
