Micromax Launches Funbook Pro Tablet At Rs 9,999

Micromax has officially launched the thin and light designed Ice Cream Sandwich tablet, Funbook Pro, in the country. This tablet is a sequel to the company’s 7″ inch Funbook launched in April, 2012.

The tablet has a 10.1″ inch capacitive multi touchscreen with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels, and is powered by Androd 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.  The Funbook Pro tablet has an internal memory of 8 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card. The tablet has 1 GB RAM and boasts HD video playback capabilities and also  features an HDMI port.

Powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor, the tablet comes packed with a 5600 mAh battery. To keep you connected on the go, the tablet supports Tata Photon + 3G dongle, with an additional 1 GB download  offer for the first two months. Educational content features interactive study material for CBSE, State boards and  other competitive exams. Users can also access the company’s MI Store  for a range of apps optimized for the tablet. The tablet has a front-facing VGA camera. Other features include GPS and WiFi. The tablet is available in the market for Rs 9,999.

This is the second tablet from Micromax. The company launched its first tablet – Funbook (a 7″ inch device) – in April, 2012 at Rs. 6,499. Micromax also revealed that it has sold over 1,40,000 units of its first Funbook tablet and plans to add more tablets to the Funbook family within a span of one month. These tablet will be called the Funbook  Alpha and the Funbook Infinity.

The company also announced the launch of 2 new smartphones – Pixel A90 and Convas A100. Priced at Rs 12,990, the Pixel A90 has a 4.3-inch Super-AMOLED touchscreen, while the Canvas A100 is available for Rs 9,990 and has a 5″ inch touchscreen.

Micromax is on an expansion spree and in the coming days, expect more product launches!
