Indian handsets maker, Micromax has announced that the company will be rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its popular Canvas series of smartphones. Micromax has also announced Canvas Xpress A99 as the first device in the portfolio to receive the update.
According to the company, the Canvas Xpress users can follow the simple process to get the updates on their devices. The update has been rolled out via OTA (over the air). When users will connect to internet, they will get a notification on their handset wherein they can directly upgrade to the latest OS. The users can also check manually for the upgrade from the following path, Setting->about phone->software update.
Commenting on this development, Micromax said in a press statement, “As a brand, we are committed to keep our customers delighted with best in class technologies and experience. Riding on the same thought, we are rolling out the Android L update with Canvas Xpress, making the overall user experience more efficient and seamless.”
