Microsoft today launched the affordable Lumia 430 Dual SIM smartphone in India at an attractive price point of Rs. 5,299. This smartphone runs on Windows 8.1 with Lumia Denim and will get upgraded to Windows 10, when it is available. The device will be available from today in bright orange and black colors in retail stores.
The Lumia 430 features a 4 inchWVGA 480 x 800 screen, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor running at 1.2GHz, paired with 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM with expansion capacity of 128GB via microSD card. This smartphone also comes with an additional 30GB of free cloud storage on Microsoft OneDrive that lets people sync, store, access and share files between Lumia 430 and computers, laptops and tablets.
The Lumia 430 is equipped with 2MP fixed-focus rear camera and 0.3MP front camera. It is packed with a 1500 mAh battery.
Some free goodies are bundled with Lunia 430 such as 500 MB of free data per month for a period of 2 months by Vodafone. Users in 3G circles will be able to enjoy 3G data while users in ICR circles will get 2G data free. Mobikwik,the online wallet will give a recharge cashback worth INR 1000 for recharges and payments made via the Mobikwik app, redeemable with a minimum recharge of INR 200 per month for five months. RedBus online ticketing service, will offer discounts worth INR 1500 on bus tickets over 6 single trips booked through the mobile app.
The Lumia 430 will be showcased across the country through ‘Knockout on Wheels’ initiative. Being flagged off from Delhi, the Lumia Knockout van will travel to over 200 cities across the country taking the Windows Phone experience to tier 2, tier 3 and tier 4 towns for the first time.
