As its name suggests, Moto G Turbo Edition has been provided with TurboPower charger, which is claimed to render 6 hours of power in just 15 minutes of charging.  The Moto G Turbo Edition is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor combined with Adreno 405 with 550 MHz GPU compared to  a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with an Adreno 306 GPU of Moto G 3rd Gen. Rest of the features of Turbo Edition are similar to that of Moto G 3rd Edition.

The Turbo Edition also features a 5 inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, which was provided on Moto G 3rd Gen. It also comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage with MicroSD card support to extend it to 32GB.

The Turbo Edition is also equipped with  with a 13 MP camea with f2.0 lens, with Dual Dynamic Correlated Colour Temperature (CCT) flash, which the company states automatically adjusts to ensure you get natural looking skin tones and consistent vibrant colours.  The 5MP front shooter has a wide 72 degree field of view. It also has Motorola’s “Best Shot” feature which captures multiple shots before and after you touch the screen and recognises issues like blurred subjects or blinking eyes and recommends the best picture to keep, so you always get the best shot.

The Moto G Turbo Edition also supports 4G LTE networks and is Dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) device. It also offers other standard connectivity options of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth version 4.0 LE, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS etc. This phone runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 OS.

The Turbo Edition also has  IP67 rated protection to keep your phone safe from water and dust. This phone can remain immersed in  fresh water up to 3 feet for up to 30 minutes similar to earlier version of Moto G 3rd Gen.

Of late, Motorola has been facing heat from the onslaught of Chinese phones in Indian market and the introduction of Moto G Turbo Edition with minor tweaks is an attempt to capture the attention of those buyers who want more features in an affordable phone.
